Wearing a hat whether it is a cap, bonnet or any kind of covering for the head, is about enjoying a piece of Art!

I am Elly van Dam and I studied to become a hat designer. I started to make hats about five years ago, because I love to create and work with all kind of textiles.

As far as I am concerned hats should feel comfortable enough to be worn on any occasion in all seasons and just for fun; Weddings, funerals, baptism, graduations, at church, etc.

I have a passion for designing hats based on my customers wishes, but I also enjoy giving them advise about what goes better with their style and even working with women who think hats do not particularly suit them.

Part of my services includes decorating hats. The materials I use are endless. Think about: felt silk, wool, the course grain fabric of etamine, buntal material made from the tropical Buri Palm, feathers and so on. Would you like me to make a simple hat into something stylish and different? That will be my favorite challenge.
